Drive works perfectly with no issues.
SSD would be faster but still too expensive for bulk storage purposes.

I bought this to add to a system that includes a Seagate Momentus 2TB 2.5″ hard drive which no longer appear to be available.
Whilst the performance appears to be about the same the noise levels are terrible and were the loudest single component in an admittedly quieter than normal system.
I run 2.5″ hard drives to reduce noise levels and if this is your reason for buying then look elsewhere. If however you’re buying for size, capacity and price then they’re perfectly acceptable and you’d probably give it a higher score than I have. Be aware though they have the same noise levels as one of the noisier 3.5″ hard drives.
Bring back the Seagate Momentus 2TB drives!

Don’t know about 128mb/s cache , but it does the job and for a laptop hdd is perfect. Plus is thinner than the others.

It works so far! It some what smaller/ cheaper and uses less power then the HD I saw in the science museum which was table size! That had a storage forty Meg capacity!
